BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — In less than two weeks, Bethany Mussell from Bloomington will be among 1,500 other athletes competing in the 2025 Special Olympics World Winter Games. The international multi-sport event will be held March 8 – 16 in Turin, Italy.
Mussell will represent the United States in alpine (downhill) skiing. Mussell, 41, learned how to alpine ski in her twenties and began competing 15 years ago. Mussell has a learning disability, and it took her about two years to pick up the sport.
