HONOLULU (Island News) — Today, the high-pressure system will move eastward while the front to the northwest continues to approach. As a result, trade winds will ease, and sea breezes will develop over the western islands by afternoon.
By tonight, the winds will calm further, but light to moderate trade winds should return by Tuesday as a new high-pressure system moves in from the north.
A stronger front will approach from the west on Wednesday, bringing southerly winds at moderate speeds. On Thursday, the southerly winds will decrease slightly as the front stalls out northwest of the islands. By Friday and Saturday, light to moderate southeast to south winds will return, and trade winds could pick up again by Sunday…
