Former slave turned landowner leaves behind legacy of land acquisition in Macon

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – This Black History Month, Atlanta News First honors a former slave turned sharecropper who purchased more than 200 acres of land for his family at a time when land ownership was rare.
