Second earthquake hits Georgia hours after first

COCHRAN, Ga. (WSAV) — Just hours after a 2.6 magnitude earthquake hit northwest Georgia, middle Georgia was hit with a similar earthquake.

The United States Geological Survey confirmed that the 2.4 magnitude occurred just a few miles away from Cochran. It happened around 6 p.m.

This is the second earthquake to happen on Tuesday, Feb. 25, just hours apart. The first one happened about five miles northwest of Menlo, Ga. around 8 a.m…
