The fire chief of the city Newberry in Alachua County was arrested in Ocala early Sunday and accused of driving under the influence.
According to an arrest report, Michael John Vogel was arrested shortly after 1:15 a.m. Sunday and transported to the county jail for booking. Vogel, 59, was released later that after posting a $1,000 bond at 3:35 p.m., jail records show.
