Melanie Matthews, wife of the late Thaddeus “The Cussing Pastor” Matthews, spoke with the news following his passing on February 24, 2025. In an emotional interview, she opened up about her relief, the time leading up to his death, and who her husband was as a person.
“It’s been a long journey. Just relieved he’s not in pain and he’s not suffering,” Melanie said. She acknowledged that while it was a difficult period, she took comfort in knowing that Thaddeus was no longer enduring any pain. “Relieved, that’s a good word.”
