Civil rights leader Dr. Al Sharpton to speak at Black History Month service in Dallas

Civil rights leader and social justice advocate, Dr. Al Sharpton, will deliver the keynote address at a special Black History Month Worship Experience on Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. at the Dallas Project Seventh-day Adventist Church located at 7710 S. Westmoreland Road.

Hosted by the Dallas Project SDA Church and the Southwest Region Conference of SDA, this event will celebrate the rich legacy of Black history, faith, and the ongoing fight for justice and equality.

For decades Sharpton, the founder and president of the National Action Network, has been a leading voice in the struggle for civil rights. His work has shaped national conversations on racial justice, economic empowerment and social change. A weekly radio and television personality on MSNBC, Sharpton’s message will focus on the role of faith in the pursuit of justice, the power of collective action, and the responsibility of today’s generation to continue the fight for equity…
