WAIKIKI, Hawaii (Island News) — The Honolulu City Council passed Bill 50 which aims to cut down the amount of events yearly along Kalakaua Avenue.
The new law comes after a long-lived debated about how many parades and festivals in Waikiki is too many.
Legacy events that are known to happen on a regularly happen include the Pan-Pacific Festival and Spam Jam. Every time each one is held, several blocks of Kalakaua Avenue are closed off for safety reasons…
