St. Pete YouTubers who made music about drug selling sentenced for predictable crime

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — A group of YouTubers in the Pinellas County area garnered thousands of views creating music videos about making and selling narcotics under the name Bag Tawk Entertainment, or “BTE.”

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, members of “BTE” were using multiple residences in Pinellas County to distribute narcotics, including methamphetamine, fentanyl and cocaine.

While executing search warrants at the homes, detectives said they found hundreds of grams of each drug, along with firearms and make-shift business cards.

The suspects, Cortez Haugabook, Torri McLaurin, Kristian Brown, and Javontah Harris, have since pleaded guilty to various drug trafficking charges. Before Thursday, all but one of them had been sentenced, with their punishments ranging from 19 to 20 years of imprisonment.

Haugabook, who investigators said went by the nickname, “Traffic,” was the final “BTE” member to be sentenced this week. The U.S. Attorney’s Office said he was given a 25-year and 10-month sentence in federal prison…
