TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A Tallahassee-based realtor was sentenced to 14 months in prison this week for not filing his income tax returns for several years, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
Sedita Charles Cayson, 59, of Panacea, was sentenced after being found guilty on five counts of willfully failing to file his income tax returns between 2017 and 2021 despite earning real estate sales commissions averaging over $150,000 a year, the DOJ wrote in a press release Thursday.
In addition to the 14-month sentence, the press release indicated that Cayson was also ordered to pay $158,840 in restitution to the IRS and $34,755 in prosecution…
