Caldwell Fire Deputy Chief’s death deemed line of duty death by DOJ

CALDWELL, Idaho — The passing of former Caldwell Fire Deputy Chief Brad Trosky has now been deemed a line-of-duty death by the Department of Justice’s Public Safety Officers’ Benefit Office, or PSOB.

“This journey has been long and met with challenges, but we are grateful to know that Brad’s dedication and ultimate sacrifice have been recognized,” said Rick Frawley, Caldwell Fire Chief. “His commitment to the Caldwell Fire Department and the community he served will never be forgotten.”

According to a news release from the Caldwell Fire Department, Deputy Chief Trosky was “a respected leader, mentor, and firefighter” who impacted more lives than just those he served.
