Arizona Senate passes bill to ban remote work for government employees

PHOENIX — The Arizona Senate has passed legislation to prohibit government employees from being able to work remotely.

In a 17-12 vote, Senate Bill 1237 passed Thursday out of the Senate and advances over to the House of Representatives.

The legislation would only allow sick employees to work from home if granted permission by a supervisor. All other full-time state employees would be expected to conduct their duties within a government office during regular working hours…
