Luke Air Force Base begins taking down social media posts after Pentagon orders to get rid of DEI-related content

PHOENIX — Luke Air Force Base has started scrubbing its social media presence after a memo from the Pentagon demanded the removal of any mentions that “promote diversity, equity and inclusion.”

On Wednesday, the Pentagon’s top public affairs official signed off on a memo giving military services less than a week to comply with the broad demands.

“Luke Air Force Base, Arizona, will be archiving and/or removing all news and feature articles, photos, and videos that promoted Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) to ensure content aligns with Department of Defense priorities,” a Luke Air Force Base spokesperson said in a statement…
