Golf legend Tiger Woods took a break from the greens to cheer on his daughter, Sam Alexis Woods, at a high school soccer game. Sam, a senior defender for Benjamin High School, helped her team secure a 2-1 victory over Lake Christian, advancing them to the Florida Class 2A state championship game.
While Sam’s brother, Charlie, is following in his father’s footsteps on the golf course, Sam has pursued other athletic passions. Woods has previously spoken about Sam’s “negative connotation” with golf, associating the sport with his time away from her during her childhood. He noted their close relationship is built on shared activities outside of golf, while his bond with Charlie revolves around the sport.
Soccer has been a consistent love for both Sam and Charlie. Woods has expressed his enjoyment of watching his children compete and their passion for soccer.
Beyond soccer, Sam is also a track and field athlete, competing in hurdles and middle-distance events for Benjamin High School.
