Several dogs were shot in NC. Now, the surviving puppies are healing in Norfolk.

NORFOLK, Va. — The Norfolk SPCA is requesting donations from the community for their latest rescue of five abandoned puppies.

According to a Thursday night social media post, the Adoption Center and Veterinary Clinic received a call about a litter of puppies that were found trembling in the cold, hungry and scared in a remote area of North Carolina.

The puppies’ mother and two of their siblings were also shot. One of the siblings, Baloo, survived the shooting but was injured by shattered bullet fragments in his leg and ankle. The other sibling and the mother died of their injuries…
