Five agencies save two after truck flips in remote Palm Beach County swamp

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — A multi-agency rescue unfolded Saturday as five agencies rushed to save two people in a flipped truck in a remote area of Palm Beach County.

According to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue (PBCFR), a truck was on a dirt canal road 5 miles west of US 27 and just north of the county line when the vehicle flipped, trapping one in the vehicle, and one under the vehicle. Not only was the vehicle flipped, but it was also sinking into swampy mud.

Along with PBCFR, Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO), Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO), Florida Fish and Wildlife (FWC), and Health Care District of Palm Beach County (HCD) joined in the effort.
