Pair arrested for trying to steal bicycles at Infinity Hall

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Adarrius Quanya Clements, 29, and Kashaun Kip Kearney, 29, were arrested on February 27 for allegedly trying to steal bicycles from Infinity Hall; Clements was on pre-trial release following his January arrest for stealing a scooter.

At about 2:06 p.m. on February 27, the building manager of Infinity Hall (978 SW 2nd Avenue) reportedly saw the two men inside the locked bicycle room of the building. The manager told the responding Gainesville Police Department officer that he heard a loud banging sound coming from the room, and when he walked in, he saw Clements trying to smash bicycle locks with a hammer. He said that when he confronted Clements, Kearney appeared behind a nearby wall; he said Kearney appeared to be acting as a look-out while Clements tried to break the locks.
