Many Floridians have gotten a new Aldi in their neighborhoods – but it is a converted Winn Dixie. That’s because Southeastern Grocers sold around 400 Winn Dixie stores to Aldi in 2023. However, in February of 2025, Southeastern Grocers bought back around 170 of those stores. Because of this, it’s easy to assume that you won’t see any new Aldis that aren’t converted to Winn Dixie.
