POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A 60-year-old Bartow man’s drug-fueled crash near Lakeland on Friday resulted in his arrest on multiple charges, including methamphetamine trafficking and DUI.
Polk County Sheriff’s detectives were assessing a crash scene at the intersection of US 98 North and Winter Lake Road around 12:25 p.m. when they encountered Jimmy Edward Wyndham, who had been driving a silver Ford F-150.
Wyndham admitted to falling asleep at the wheel, but detectives quickly noticed his erratic behavior and profuse sweating. He then handed a detective a baggie of methamphetamine…
