NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — A Chesapeake sailor pleaded guilty to sending sexually explicit messages to an undercover law enforcement officer (UC) posing as a 14-year-old girl.
On Feb. 16, 2024, 31-year-old Kyle Babiak used a social media app to message an undercover law enforcement officer whom Babiak believed was a young teenage girl, according to court documents. While conversing, Babiak expressed concern over the girl’s age, writing that he could “wind up in a court martial.”
