Metro Atlanta’s Health Inspection Failing Restaurants for February 2025

A total of 14 restaurants in various parts of Metro Atlanta had failed the routine inspections conducted by the Health Departments. The restaurants had to pay penalties and face enforcement actions as a result of the non-compliance reported.

KKQ BBQ Factory

Located at 3885 Venture Dr, KKQ BBQ Factory failed the inspection on February 3 during the routine inspection. The failure was due to the restaurant only scoring 61 points in the inspection, leading it to be slammed with a “U” grade.

Various violations of the food code were cited in the inspection report. The report stated that several risk factors observed during the inspection were due to a lack of managerial control. There were issues concerning the storage of food items cited in the report as well.

Fumi Hibachi and Sushi Bar

Fumi Hibachi and Sushi Bar failed the health inspection on February 6 after scoring only 61 points. Located at 3550 Mall Blvd NW Duluth, the restaurant was given an unsatisfactory grade because of its low scores.
