Florida man destroys BMW dealership after credit check kills his $129K M4 test drive dreams

“What happened when the Florida Man walked into a BMW dealership?” It sounds like a joke setup, but it’s a true story with an ending that’s anything but funny. A BMW M4 CS sat gleaming inside a Florida showroom—until one man-child’s tantrum turned the dealership into a demolition zone. After failing a BMW credit check, this Florida man didn’t take rejection well. Instead of leaving, the 20-year-old drove through the dealership windows.

A denied BMW test drive turns into a true “Florida Man” rampage

Kevin Alexander Leiman showed up at BMW of Gainesville on February 25, ready to test drive a 543-horsepower M4 CS. The coupe, listed at $129,175, was exactly what he wanted. But before he could get behind the wheel, the dealership required a credit check. The results weren’t good. Employees told Leiman he didn’t qualify for a test drive.

Instead of accepting reality, the Florida man tried grabbing the car’s keys on his way out. Dealership employees stopped him. That should have been the end of it.

The Florida man sat, stewed, then snapped

Leiman stormed outside and sat in his car. (A Hyundai SUV). Employees figured he had given up. Instead, he circled the lot—once, then twice.

Then, he floored it.

The Florida man’s car smashed through the BMW dealership windows, sending glass everywhere. Inside, stunned employees and customers watched as he got out and frantically searched for the M4 CS keys again.

He didn’t get the car, but he got the charges

Leiman’s plan failed. He couldn’t find the keys. Instead, he took off on foot. Police found him minutes later, arresting him on the spot…
