Chicago Entertainer Bibiano Ruano Fatally Shot in Pilsen; Community Mourns

The Chicago community is reeling after the tragic loss of 24-year-old Bibiano Ruano, who was fatally shot in Pilsen on Saturday night. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, two unidentified suspects approached Ruano around 8:15 p.m. while he was walking along the 1400 block of West 18th Street and fired multiple shots, striking him in the head and knee. Ruano was subsequently transported to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.

Ruano, also known as Bibi Da King, was an entertainer who had created a following on social media and appeared on reality television. In a statement obtained by ABC7 Chicago, Amanda Ruano, the victim’s sister, expressed disbelief and heartbreak over the incident: “I always read about it and it breaks my heart, other people, how could people do this to other people? And now, I’m living through it. It’s a whole different hurt.”

The young content creator had been living in the city with his girlfriend. His online persona, according to his family, was distinct from his personal life, where he preferred to stay at home. “He was a home body, and he would just come out here and there, and the one night, he actually went out, they took him,” Amanda Ruano told ABC7 Chicago…
