‘Blizzard warning’ issued in Colorado with up to 30″ of snow incoming

Big snow is about to hit the Centennial State and there’s a good chance it will impact the lives of many Coloradans.

According to mapping from the National Weather Service, up to 30 inches of snow could hit mountains along the Continental Divide north of I-70 from Monday morning through Wednesday morning if the ‘high-end’ forecast comes to fruition. This could also mean up to 18 inches of snow along the main mountain corridor of I-70. Perhaps more notable, however, could be the heavy snow that could fall between Denver and Colorado Springs along I-25 – with a potential of up to 24 inches. This will likely have a major impact on commuters traveling between these two cities and could make it too dangerous to travel at times.

While Denver is only expected to get about two inches of snow in the ‘high-end’ snowfall scenario, Colorado Springs could get up to eight and Monument, just north of Colorado Springs, could get two feet…
