Norfolk man indicted with cocaine trafficking and illegal firearm possession

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A Norfolk man faces a federal indictment from a grand jury for cocaine possession with intent to distribute, felony possession of a firearm and criminal forfeiture.

According to a recently unsealed document from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, around May 13, 2024, 47-year-old Stanley Desmarat, AKA Whisper, possessed 500 grams of cocaine with the intent to distribute.

Also around May 13, 2024, Desmarat illegally possessed a Sig Sauer P320 .40 semi-automatic pistol, a Heckler & Koch HK45 .45 semi-automatic pistol and a Taurus model 85 .38 revolver. These firearms had previously been shipped and transported across state lines as well as internationally.

Desmarat was indicted in December 2024. The grand jury responsible for the indictment has also found that if convicted of cocaine possession and distribution, he will forfeit any property used or purchased to assist said crime to the federal government. He will also have to forfeit any firearms and ammunition used or involved with the alleged cocaine possession and distribution…
