South Carolina school building destroyed by massive early-morning fire

BOILING SPRINGS, S.C. (WBTV) – A decades-old school in Upstate South Carolina was destroyed by fire early Tuesday morning.

Several fire departments responded to the blaze at the old Boiling Springs campus around 4 a.m.

When firefighters arrived, the school was engulfed in flames with smoke and fire reaching high into the sky. The Boiling Springs Fire Department said the old building had previously been tagged as a collapse risk, so firefighters had to be extra cautious…
