Hydrogen fuel-cell cars never quite promised a cross-country drive across the US that took EVs themselves some time to achieve. And taking a hydrogen fuel-cell car on an hours-long drive even inside California has been a bit more adventurous than doing so with an EV. We know because we did it a few years ago.
But finding hydrogen fuel even in the one state where FCEVs have been marketed to drivers is not becoming easier over time.
