Ohio State Highway Patrol stops driver traveling 119 mph on I-475 in Lucas County

LUCAS COUNTY, Ohio — The Ohio State Highway Patrol said Tuesday it recently stopped a driver for going nearly double the speed limit on I-475 in Lucas County.

According to OSHP, a Toledo post trooper stopped the driver, who was going 119 mph in a 60 mph zone. The exact location on I-475 was not provided.

“There is no excuse for driving 119 mph in a 60 mph zone! Since 2020, there have been 4,439 speed-related crashes on Lucas Co roadways. Stay safe, #SlowDown,” OSHP said in a Facebook post…
