Prosecutors join forces to solve cross-state violent crime problem

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Prosecutors from Southern Indiana and Jefferson County, Ky. are joining forces to promote public safety on both sides of the river. Both areas are dealing with a significant violent crime problem.

Through the Kentucky Indiana Prosecutors Alliance (KIPA), the offices say they will be reviewing each case that comes across their desks that may involve crimes happening in Kentucky and Indiana. They want to find the links between suspects who victimize their communities time and time again.

One of those repetitive crimes deal with crimes, including car thefts, car break-ins and carjackings. Many cases have been caught on camera, but very few of the perpetrators end up caught by police…
