PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — A Portland man was arrested after allegedly shooting a gun toward another man’s car following a confrontation in Aloha last month, authorities said.
Jovanny Tapia-Vasquez, 24, is accused of attempted assault, stalking and other charges after he reportedly showed up to his ex-girlfriend’s house — unannounced — on Feb. 17 and discovered a male visitor at her home. Tapia-Vasquez then allegedly fired shots toward the man’s car as he was leaving, though no one was injured, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said.

At the time of the incident, Tapia-Vasquez shared custody of a child with his ex-girlfriend. The ex-girlfriend later called 911, accusing Tapia-Vasquez of harassing her and saying that he had a gun. A separate 911 call earlier that day reported gunshots near Southwest 159th Avenue and Southwest Blanton Street, with the caller saying they saw a man firing two shots toward the car departing the scene.
Tapia-Vasquez was further accused of returning to the same home on Feb. 24, damaging a vehicle belonging to the same man and making threats of returning with a gun before he left. However, deputies located Tapia-Vasquez and arrested him later that same day in Portland…
