Lake Elsinore Woman Arrested for Alleged Robbery Escalating from Retail Theft

An incident of theft that escalated into a robbery at a Lake Elsinore retail store has led to the arrest of a local woman. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office was alerted to the crime, which transpired on February 13, 2025, through an online report filed by a store employee. According to official communication from Sergeant Robert Thomas, the suspect, 34-year-old Zurikka Herron of Lake Elsinore, is accused of stashing cans of baby formula into a tote bag. The robbery turned violent when she allegedly shoved an employee out of her way as she vacated the premises without paying.

During a traffic stop on Tuesday, in not attempting to resist, Zurikka Herron was detained and taken to the Lake Elsinore station for further investigation. The subsequent booking of Herron at the Cois Byrd Detention Center CBDC for robbery brings this case to a pivotal turning point.
