A Clermont woman was arrested after allegedly punching and scratching her husband during verbal argument.
Deputies responded to a domestic battery at an undisclosed Clermont residence around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
Upon arrival, the deputies met with the victim who advised that he got into an argument with his wife, 41-year-old Breezy Jo Allen. During this, Allen grabbed his face and beard in an aggressive manner several times, leaving scratches on his face. She then punched him with a closed fist in the face, the report said.
The report noted that Allen and the victim stated they were drinking alcoholic beverages prior to the incident. The deputies tried to interview Allen, but she was initially belligerent and uncooperative. After advising several times that they were investigating a domestic battery, she began to comply.
