OSBI: Two arrested in 1997 cold case investigation

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Okla. ( KFOR ) – According to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, two people have been arrested in connection to a 1997 cold case.

Officials say on August 11, 1997, Seminole County deputies responded to a home in Sasakwa, Oklahoma. Upon arrival, they found 81-year-old Gerthie Carolina dead inside the home. The OSBI was asked to help with the investigation.

Carolina’s cause of death was later revealed to be multiple stab wounds and incised wounds, as well as a blunt force injury.
