Alex Wells, the father of ten, was well known in his Akron, Ohio, community. On the night of December 26, 2011, his children lost their beloved father.
According to the Akron Police Department, around 11:00 pm, Alex and his girlfriend were ambushed in the driveway of his home at 844 Hardest Boulevard in West Akron by two masked assailants dressed in all black. Both men had guns, and one man ordered his girlfriend to the ground while the other asked Alex for the alarm passcode. The first assailant kicked and pistol-whipped his girlfriend as he attempted to zip tie her hands.
