Rodney J. Bruton of South Brunswick Town, New Jersey is accused of racketeering by using fake licenses and credit cards for financial gain on Oct. 30, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Kennesaw Florist, 2724 Summers Street NW in Kennesaw, according to an arrest warrant from the Kennesaw Police Department.
Bruton attempted to purchase flowers with a stolen credit card. Upon contact with the police, Bruton had a second stolen credit card. A search warrant was obtained for his vehicle in the parking lot. Inside were several new items of clothing, shoes and colognes from Nordstrom as well as 24 Nordstrom gift cards and multiple receipts from multiple states, according to the warrant.
Bruton also had 24 fake driver’s licenses from Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and New Jersey. These fake licenses had his picture on them, but were made out to different names. There were three credit cards in some of the names on the licenses. Bruton had three stolen driver’s licenses, one stolen military ID, one fake passport and 10 other fake driver’s licenses in his belongings in the car. Seven of the fake licenses had an unknown woman pictured with different names and three had an unknown man pictured with different names. There were five checks from the U.S. Treasury with various names on them, none of which were Bruton, according to the warrant…
