Fort Worth ISD spares four schools from closure or consolidation. More decisions loom

Four Fort Worth ISD schools are no longer being considered for closure or consolidation.

As the district continues weighing a facilities master plan that could lead to the closure or consolidation of more than a dozen campuses over the next several years, officials stressed that options are ever-changing.

In late February, Western Hills High School, William Monnig Middle School, W.C. Stripling Middle School and Westcliff Elementary School were removed from the district’s list of potential options for closure and consolidation, Kellie Spencer, the district’s deputy superintendent of operations, told the Fort Worth Report.
