SEATTLE — A 12-year-old student was hit and killed by a car outside Washington Middle School in Seattle Thursday afternoon.
A spokesperson for Seattle Public Schools told KOMO News the student was struck by a car while walking to recess after second lunch. SPS said the middle school was sheltering in place as of 1:45 p.m. “as we deal with this incident on campus.”
The school district asked families to stay away from the school at this time. Officers with the Seattle Police Department were on campus, but SPS said there was no threat to students and staff…
