Traffic Stop Leads To Massive Drug Seizure In Clark County

CLARK COUNTY, Wash. – Two men from New York were arrested Tuesday after a traffic stop on Interstate 5 in Clark County allegedly led to the discovery of large quantities of drugs, including marijuana and ketamine.

At approximately 10:30 a.m. on February 27th, Washington State Patrol troopers stopped a red Dodge Hornet traveling southbound near milepost 6. The vehicle was allegedly speeding 19 miles per hour over the posted limit.

Upon contacting the vehicle, troopers reported a strong odor of marijuana coming from the passenger area and observed two large black trash bags in the rear seat. Further investigation allegedly led to the discovery of multiple trash bags in the trunk and rear compartment, containing approximately 160 pounds of marijuana.
