That February snow has melted, daytime temperatures in Knoxville have climbed back into the 50s and 60s and once March is here, you might figure it’s safe to toss your winter coat to the back of the closet.
Before you write off the chances of any more serious winter weather, though, just remember that 32 years ago, Knoxville was buried under more than a foot of snow by what is remembered as “The Big One,” “the Storm of the Century” or just the Blizzard of 1993.
