New March 26 law will see cars towed if important info isn’t up-to-date – and it could cost drivers thousands

DRIVERS will soon have their cars towed if their registration information is outdated – and they could face fines up to $1,000.

Starting on March 26, vehicles with expired, missing, or invalid license plates or registration tabs will be subject to immediate towing in Springfield, Missouri .

Springfield Police have warned drivers to get their vehicles in order before the crackdown begins.

The city is offering a 30-day education period, giving out citations without towing, as the ordinance is already in effect…
