Musk’s Dad Weighs In On Son’s Paternity Suit

Additional Coverage:

Elon Musk’s father, Errol, has weighed in on influencer Ashley St. Clair’s paternity lawsuit against the tech billionaire.

St. Clair, who is seeking sole custody of a child born in September 2024, publicly claimed on X last month that Musk is the father and alleges he’s only seen the child three times.

While declining to confirm or deny St. Clair’s claims, the elder Musk called the situation “very strange,” questioning the wisdom of publicly claiming paternity without certainty. He added that any woman “with a slight brain” would welcome the opportunity to have Musk’s child.

Errol Musk, who has seven children himself, including two with his stepdaughter, has previously been critical of Elon’s parenting. Last month, he stated on a podcast that Elon had been a “bad dad,” citing the tragic death of Elon’s first son, Nevada, in 2002. However, he now describes his son as a “good father” who is “trying to be.”

The elder Musk also commented on Elon’s other partners and children. He called Grimes, with whom Elon shares three children, “attractive” but “a little nuts,” attributing their children’s unusual names to her.

Meanwhile, he had high praise for Shivon Zilis, an executive at Musk’s company Neuralink, with whom Musk recently welcomed his likely 14th child. Errol Musk called Zilis “the best woman I’ve ever seen him with,” describing her as “absolutely lovely” and “a real good mother.”

Zilis recently announced the birth of their son, Seldon Lycurgus, on X. She and Musk also share twins, Strider and Azure, born in 2021, and another child, Arcadia, born in February 2024.
