ALLIANCE, Ohio (WJW) – After a crash on Thursday night, Alliance police are reminding drivers not to drive under the influence of any substance.
According to a post on the City of Alliance Police Department Facebook page, an “alleged drug-impaired driver” crashed into a telephone pole on South Union Avenue by the University of Mount Union in front of Gionino’s Pizza just before midnight.

The driver was not injured, but was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle while impaired.
After the crash, the police department said , “As a public safety announcement, please remember that marijuana significantly impairs a person’s ability to drive for four hours after use and can have ongoing effects up to 24 hours. This is not a lecture, we just want you to be safe.”…
