Man offered BSO detective posing as hitman $10K to kill ex-wife, deputies say

BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. – A South Florida man was arrested Thursday after he tried to hire a hitman to kill his ex-wife, offering $10,000 for the job, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities said Michael David Pine, 55, of Boynton Beach, was taken into custody by BSO deputies following an undercover operation involving the agency’s strategic investigations division, the threat management Unit, and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
