Experts warn that daylight saving time poses health risks

CINCINNATI (WKRC) – As daylight saving time approaches this weekend, experts are warning of the potential health risks associated with losing an hour of sleep.

Dr. Karthik Kanagarajan, a sleep specialist affectionately known as Dr. K, explained that waking up before sunrise can disrupt the circadian rhythm, or natural sleep-wake cycle, leading to irritability.
