GARRETT, Ind. (WANE) — Romance readers have been anticipating the opening of Northeast Indiana’s first Romance bookstore. Slow Burn Books in Garrett is a romance genre bookstore. The bookstore offers new and used books for those looking to fall in love with a good book.
Slow Burn Books was started by Hannah Ziko. She describes the bookstore on the Slow Burn’s Facebook page as ‘eclectic’ and ‘feminine’. The store’s walls are painted bubblegum pink and the walls are hung with decorations worthy of Instagram selfies.
Slow Burn Books celebrated its grand opening on Saturday, March 8 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The first 20 customers received a gift.
Customers started lining up 2 hours before the store opened its doors. Throughout the day the line wrapped around the building. It didn’t take long for the shelves stocked with books to become bare…
