SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) is warning locals to stay vigilant at the gas pump with the potential threat of their credit card information getting stolen, also known as skimming.
They say card skimming is a crime of opportunity, and you can protect yourself if you pay the right way and check the kiosks when you drive up.
