San Francisco’s dry conditions will come to an end on Tuesday, when an incoming storm system arrives in the Bay Area.
National Weather Service meteorologists said that The City could receive up to two inches of rain from Tuesday through the end of the upcoming week. The precipitation could lead to standing water on some roadways and minor flooding in areas surrounding low-lying creeks and streams. Though the system will last for several days, NWS meteorologist Roger Gass told The Examiner that it is expected to move quickly through The City.
The system is “not expected to stall over any one area” of the Bay Area’s nine counties, which Gass said will “help limit the amount of rainfall.” He noted previous storm systems, such as one that moved through the region last month, stalled over the North Bay, triggering flooding and mudslide concerns …
