Starting Monday, March 10, in the City of Kissimmee there will be a temporary traffic change at the intersection of Ball Park Road and Dyer Blvd as part of ongoing efforts to improve traffic flow and safety. The left turn lanes at this intersection will be temporarily closed until the ongoing traffic signal project is completed, which is expected to be finished in early June 2025.
In the interim, vehicles will be restricted to right turns only from Ball Park Road onto Dyer Blvd. These changes are being made in response to the increasing frequency of accidents at the intersection.
Key Updates:
- Right Turn Only: Westbound traffic on Ballpark Road will be directed to turn right onto northbound Dyer Blvd, and eastbound traffic will be restricted to a right turn onto southbound Dyer Blvd.
- Improved Safety: These improvements are designed to reduce congestion and enhance safety at the intersection.
- Traffic Control Measures: Traffic signage and devices will be installed to direct motorists. Drivers are advised to follow the updated traffic routes and posted signage for safety.
