Iowa’s international writing program losing its federal funding. It’s an extremely selective program that’s been around since 1967 with 1,600 writers from more than 160 countries a part of it. It’s world-renown and a centerpiece of the school’s global reputation.
Now, its federal funding is getting cut like a lot of other programs, and its future is in the balance.
