HOPKINS COUNTY, Texas – Law enforcement officials in Hopkins County have arrested Rodney Crear, 46 , on multiple charges, including possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal mischief . The arrest took place on March 6, 2025 , following an incident on Interstate 30.
According to police reports, Deputies received a call of suspicious person, Deputies observed Crear walking along the highway, units made contact, While speaking with Crear deputies noticed a glass pipe commonly used for smoking methamphetamine among his belongings. Upon further investigation, deputies requested and received consent from Crear to search his bag, where additional drug paraphernalia was found.
Crear was also booked in on an active warrant of criminal mischief exceeding $100 but less than $750 …
